How COPROP works > Procurement Board

A  group of members and nominees from industry  that advise COPROP on policy direction and strategies to deliver COPROP’s direction and priorities on the provision of  property portfolios and property assets.

The Board is chaired by Tony Comer procurement@coprop.org.uk . Its main champion at a national level is Sir Michael Latham author of “Constructing the Team” and other eminent publications on best practice.

Current projects include:

• Supporting and developing COPROP’s  benchmarking clubs
  
• Developing routes to bring the learning from the Centre of Excellence COPROP projects to the forefront of mainstream asset management for local government
  
• Working with other bodies to develop performance indicators and standards relevant to procurement of construction projects
  
• Working with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to produce guidance for practitioners including procurement best practice

The board meets four times a year and is supported by topic groups who lead on themes, together with regional groups that have implemented work commissioned by COPROP and the Centres of Excellence.
